As one might assume, the title of this podcast blog is "Musings Over Makgeolli" which, of course, means that my guests and I must consume makgeolli while we're chatting. This gimmick usually starts each episode off with a bang, but as the show rolls on, the rice wine gets the best of us and we must end our "musings" and begin with our "meanderings".
This is episode is just that: Carl and I meandering around makgeolli-filled minds.

Here's the question:
I’m considering moving to Korea to teach ESL. Once I posted my resume on Dave’s I was inundated with responses from recruiters. Sorting through them has been extremely time consuming and created more confusion than clarity for me as a job seeker. Is there a more streamlined process for finding and securing a position with a reputable school in Korea? Can you recommend a good recruiting agency? Also, I’ve applied for GEPIK but would also like to apply to some private schools in the Gyeonggi-do province. Can you recommend any?
And...
Your site is very helpful, thanks so much! I'm looking into working in Seoul and was wondering if you had any info (other than what is on their website) on YBM ECC Banpo, Yeongdeungpo and/or Cheongdam, as well as English Learning Bay in Mok-dong. A friend of mine worked for YBM last year and says it really depends on the school, not necessarily the company.
Great questions and I answer them on the podcast...
